The PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies, in collaboration with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), organized a highly informative seminar titled "Capital Market Awareness Session" on July 6th, 2023. The aim of the seminar was to enrich participants' understanding of the capital market and its intricate workings. The event saw an impressive turnout of 60 enthusiastic attendees, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, making it a resounding success.
The program commenced at 10:30 AM in the College Auditorium, where Ms. Adila Thasni.K, Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies, warmly welcomed everyone. Dr. S. Chitrakala, Head of the PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies, presided over the function. In her eloquent presidential address, she highlighted the importance of capital market knowledge for commerce students, emphasizing its relevance in their academic and professional pursuits.
The session was expertly conducted by Mr. Venugopal Rayirath, Senior Associate at Lotus Knowlwealth Ltd, a seasoned expert in the field of capital markets. Drawing on his wealth of experience, Mr. Rayirath captivated the audience with a compelling delivery, seamlessly integrating slide presentations and interactive segments. The seminar content was carefully crafted, providing invaluable insights and fostering a productive and informative learning environment. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to seek clarification and further enhance their understanding.
The session came to an end at 12:15 PM, as Ms. Athulya MP, a first-year M.Com Finance student, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee and all the attendees.
